Porky Pig Attacked At Six Flags

On Monday July 12th, two Six Flags Great America workers were kicked out of the park after allegedly attacking a female worker dressed in a “Porky Pig” costume. Taras Sikalchuk, 20, and Dmytro Petrychenko, 19, took a picture with Porky about 2:20 p.m. Monday at Six Flags Great America, and then punched the mascot in the head 10 to 15 times, Gurnee police said Tuesday. Both men were employees at the park, and were visiting the park on their day off. Both men denied the attack, but witnesses confirmed the story, said the police. The 24 year old woman in the suit suffered headaches and a stiff neck, but did not require hospitalization, Sgt. Ward, of the Gurnee police said. The sergeant said mascots are accompanied by a security guard, and attacks on mascots happen once or twice a year.

  1. This happens a lot just like Sgt. Ward said… They also get a lot of weirdos that purposely go to Disney just to try to prank characters… matter in fact there was a news story a few years ago that 3 teenagers were prosecuted because they attempted to steal the tail of Winne The Pooh, they were able cut it off but were met by police at the entrance of the Monorail
